Hello Raw Shooters

October was a super busy month for us with lots of work and lots of fun! Here is a short report of two highlight events:

On October 17 I taught a workshop on Exposure for the Abbotsford Photo Art Club
There were 113 who attended my workshop! It was a very well organized seminar with a good variety of useful topics. I had a great time leading this workshop. Here is part of an email I received from the APAC Seminar Committee:

Cheers Ted

On behalf of the APAC Seminar Committee I would like to thank you for your part in making this year's seminar such a success. Your workshop on Exposure had the highest attendance of any workshop this year and was rated as one of the top two based on the evaluation forms received by me. Participants commented on your excellent knowledge of the subject as well as the clear and thorough way in which you taught it.  Congratulations on a job well done!!

Part of my job as Seminar Workshop Chair is to make sure that we have a varied and interesting set of workshops for the participants to choose from. We are always looking speakers, such as yourself, that get excellent reviews but we need to vary the workshop content from year to year. If you present any other workshops that you think APAC would be interested in I would welcome your input; workshops can be either one or two hours long.

Thanks again Ted and I look forward to using your talent for future seminars.

Barry

At Omnilargess Services we want to thank Barry Justice and all the members of APAC Seminar Committee for their hard work and excellent management. We look forward to having another workshop at next year’s APAC Seminar.
Here are some favorite shots from the October 17th workshop.

On October 18 I taught another workshop: Capturing Fall Color. Here are some highlights of this all day field trip.

It was a wonderful day for photographing fall color. It rained very hard the previous day, and the morning of the 18th started off cloudy, then we had some bright over cast, later it turned sunny for a short period, and then over cast and dark over cast. It was a perfect day to experiment with different light conditions. We had a great day learning how to search for shadows, use guide lines, and how to change our camera settings to create a perfect image under a wide variety of challenging light conditions.
We really had a blast and I am planning another workshop for winter on how to capture snow scenery.

Here are some favorite shots from the October 18th workshop.
